We are currently running the second generation of the NAVRCHOLU.cz system, which builds on years of experience - the first version was launched as early as in 1998. The system uses latest technologies and essential parts of it were developed by our programmers specifically for NAVRCHOLU.cz, which allows us to offer some unique services that are unrivaled on the Czech market.

Hardware

The system runs on several independent servers placed in the Internet backbone in the Sitel telehouse. The connection is provided by Interoute.

The most demanding part of the system is the so-called Backend (data collecting), which is done on a two-processor server on the Intel Xeon platform by Sun Microsystems. Another important part is the so-called Frontend, or the server that presents the data to the users (including for example this text). It also runs on a two-processor machine on the Intel platform. In addition, the system utilizes "support" servers, such as authorization or image server - these, too, are dual processor Intel servers by Sun Microsystems. Last but not least, the system includes a backup server, placed outside the serverhouse. Data is backed up to this server every day, and then stored on DVDs.

Operation Monitoring

The system is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. In case of a trouble, our technicians are able to react to the situation within minutes.
